Polar Explorer Eric Larsen Is Training On Lake of the Woods

That polar explorer Eric Larsen compares conditions on Lake of the Woods as similar to both the North Pole and Antarctica comes as no surprise.

"I was very excited to hold my polar training course on Lake of the Woods," said Eric. "Although I grew up in Wisconsin, Minnesota holds a special place in my heart. I attended St. Olaf and have taught Environmental Ed, at Wolf Ridge and Eagle Bluff, and spent several years living in Grand Marais. When I left, there was a Grand Marais shaped hole in my heart."
