Roseau -Marilyn O. Flaten passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2020 at LifeCare Manor in Roseau, at the age of 88 years. Marilyn Olive Kvien was born June 7, 1931 at Sheldon, N.D., to Olaf and Myrtle Kvien.
Marilyn graduated from Roseau High School in 1949. After she graduated Marilyn and some friends ventured west, working as they went. They stayed in Montana, Washington and ended up in California.
Marilyn married Emil Flaten on May 17, 1953 in Santa Monica, California. They moved back to Minnesota and farmed for a few years in the Pencer area. They moved to Albany, Oregon and then to Port...
