Abram and Josephine Hinson, who earned first and second place honors respectively in the Roseau School District Spelling Bee on January 27, competed in the Northwest Regional Spelling Bee at Northland College in Thief River Falls on Wednesday.

Competing in a field of 36 spellers from area schools that included Bemidji, Thief River Falls and East Grand Forks, the Hinsons showed their prowess by placing in the Top Ten.
