Old Sleds

The two drivers nudged their old sno-cats to the start line as directed by the green flag in the hand of the experienced flagman, the two stroke engines popping haphazardly. When he was satisfied with the positioning, he flung the flag skyward and the drivers smashed the throttles wide open. The popping changed to a pair of sharp, loud crackles as the throttles opened, and the sleds moved briskly away from the line.
