Roseau Rams Beat Bemidji in Playoffs; Buffalo is Next

submitted by Steve Huglen The Rams Girls High School Hockey team opened up the Section 8AA playoffs with a quarterfinal victory over Bemidji on Saturday, February 8th. The game was played at the Rams Sports Center as Roseau was the #1 seeded team while Bemidji was the #8 seed.

Roseau jumped out to a 5-1 lead after the 1st period. Memphis Mertens scored first from Kayla Santl and Mariah Huglen. It was then Celine Stroot with a shot from the slot to make it 2-0 and with an assist by Memphis Mertens and Olivia Urness. Olivia would then make it 3-0 with a nice shorthanded goal.
