Oslo -Carolyn Jo Ecklund was born in Grand Forks Deaconess Hospital on Saturday, April 14, 1956 at 10:32 p.m. to Dewey & Verna (Schey) Rood.  She was baptized at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls and confirmed in Faith Lutheran Brethren Church in TRF, the church her family helped found.  She attended elementary school in Thief River Falls and then Lincoln High School where she graduated from in 1974.  Carolyn started out her lifelong career in the medical field working first as a Candy Striper at Northwest Hospital in Thief River Falls and after she graduated worked at...
