The Iron Dog Isn't for Wimps, Slackers, or Whiners

Maybe they should have handed out Purple Hearts at the finish line of the 2,409-mile Alaskan 2020 Iron Dog Snowmobile Race that wrapped up in late February at Willow Lake.

The Iron Dog is billed as the "World's Longest, Toughest Snowmobile Race" and runs from Fairbanks to Kotzebue to Nome to Willow.

Waiting at the finish line was Mrs. Stacy Isaacson, formerly of Warroad, whose son-in-law, Zach Cizmowski, and his brother, Kaz, were just one of eleven out of 29 two-member teams to finish the race and didn't arrive on a stretcher or in need of a physician or a chiropractor.
