TURKEY FARMER JOHN BURKEL ANNOUNCES BID FOR DISTRICT 1A

Lifelong Northwest Minnesota resident and 4th generation turkey farmer John Burkel announced March 10 that he will run for the Minnesota House in District 1A which includes Kittson, Roseau, Marshall and part of Pennington County. Current District 1A Rep. Dan Fabian announced Tuesday that he will retire following the completion of his 5th term.

“Rep. Fabian is leaving big shoes to fill, but I know my experience as a turkey farmer and lifelong resident of this area has prepared me to bring our values to Saint Paul and fight for the priorities of northwest Minnesota,” Burkel said.
