Gov. Walz orders 'Stay at Home' into April

On Wednesday afternoon, Gov. Tim Walz issued a "Stay at Home" order to help reduce the coronavirus pandemic. His order requests that Minnesotans stay in their homes and avoid unnecessary travel.

The exceptions include purchasing groceries, seeking medical help, visiting the pharmacy and other essential visits to banks, gas stations, hardware stores, and the liquor store.

Issued by executive authority, it will go into effect at midnight on Friday, March 27, and will run through Friday, April 10.

Walz further noted that bars and restaurants will be closed through Friday, May 1.
