David Foss, the 1966 Roseau High School graduate, decorated Vietnam War veteran and educator, hasn't lost a step on life more than 50 years since returning home from the war.
Recently, he spoke by phone from his home near Plato, Minnesota, and those old memories haven't been erased over time.
"I was a draftee, he said, rapidly reciting his service number - US55930548.
It was a badge of honor being a draftee back in the 1960s, even if it meant being assigned to the infantry (11 Bravo MOS) and shipping out to South Vietnam.
