Phil Wang, a 1967 Greenbush High School graduate, eloquently recalled his life as a career soldier, including his close calls in the jungles of Vietnam as a skinny 19-year-old kid. Mr. Wang had a salty vocabulary when he was interviewed by phone from Augusta, Georgia, on March 30.

He is 70 now, a retired Army major who is forever tied to two other Roseau County draftees, Fred Fish and Dave Foss, since the three served with the 25th Infantry Division's Wolfhounds in South Vietnam.
