City Council hears disturbing results on local businesses
April 25, 2020
During Monday's virtual Roseau City Council meeting, there was no glossing over the tough times the lockdown order has had on local businesses.
Promotions Director Mary Hoffer summed up the sad state of affairs following a mostly healthy report on the status of all the city employees.
She noted that the C & C Board contacted all the members requesting an update.
"We pulled together a report of 34 members who replied. Some of them are doing fine like the cable companies and the grocery store.
Ms. Hoffer then noted that while many of the restaurants are open, their revenues are way down.
