Standing alone in a crowd

There I was sitting in the back seat, riding along in a car with two of my friends. Laughter, bright ideas, opinions, "Lets do something together" and my thought was that I didn't want to take part!

I wasn't 16 years old I was 60 plus something, and at the time felt pretty sure of myself. I had become my own person, knowing what I liked and what I didn't enjoy doing.
