Commissioners Combine Auditor and Recorder's Positions

On Tuesday, the Roseau County Board voted to combine the Auditor and Recorder's Offices under one department head.

"We had already made the Recorder position an appointed position in April," said Commissioner Jack Swanson, noting that the commissioners will have a public meeting on June 22, to potentially change the Auditor's position from elective to appointive.

"We are going to have the job descriptions for the two Deputy Recorders re-evaluated," he said, noting that Renae Hamilton and Brenda McMillin will be doing the bulk of the work.
