My Dream and Joe's Bible Verse

Well, actually I had two dreams last night. In the first dream I lost my shoes. I hate dreams like that. Going around in my stocking feet gets old really fast especially when I have to go outside! Sigh!

Then the second dream came along. I was scheduled to be in a boxing match with a big bald-headed man with hair sticking out on both sides of his head. He was tall, really mean looking and probably weighed 300 lbs. I was really worried. I didn't have the ability to move really fast and miss all of his punches, which I might add were going to be aimed most of the time at my face. I couldn't come up with a solution and woke up with the problem in my head.

Where do dreams come from? It is said that if you are working on a problem when you go to sleep, your subconscious mind will take over and you will dream, creating any kind of problem and try to solve it.

I am sure both dreams stemmed from my thinking about everything in Roseau County opening up again. Oh by the way, Joe's P.E.T. Scan came out clear and the mass in his abdomen is now dormant according to his Oncologist. Battle won! But like Joe said yesterday, "Battle won, but the war isn't over"! So many battle fronts are going on right now! I am supposed to "Stay alert!" because the enemy is coming at me just over the next ridge. I wish I could be in that place where I would never have to think about such things.

There are only two ways to go: Either I pray and ask God for guidance, trusting Him no matter what, or, I lean on my own understanding. When I lean on my own understanding, I will be devastated by fear. I will also fall short of what I need to get through and not be able to get up. Threatening dreams? Life used to be easy, it isn't anymore. Trusting God is a combination of trusting and obeying. Remember that song? "Trust and obey, for there is no other way, to be happy in Jesus..."

God speaks to Joe through the Bible. The last word was... Psalms 5:8 Lead me in the right path, Oh Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Tell me clearly what to do, and show me which way to turn.

That pretty much nails it. At least for me. It is the only way I can live through all of the monsters threatening my life. It's the path I have chosen. God will help me to stay on it.
