Wannaska Rancher Earns First in County Honors

It's bison, not buffalo!

Mike Whitt, 52, already has a leg up on any rules pertaining to his future bison operation.

Credit that distinction to Glen Kajewski, the Area Certification Specialist in charge of the Minnesota Ag Water Quality Certification Program for northwest Minnesota.

In mid-April, Mr. Kajewski spent 15 minutes highlighting the benefits of the five-year-old program for watersheds in Minnesota. He noted that Mr. Whitt was the second landowner in Roseau County to apply.
