Federal Money is Coming to Roseau County

A grand total of $2,534,816 in COVID relief money was released for Roseau County last week by Gov. Tim Walz after the Minnesota House of Representative and the Minnesota State Senate were unable to reach a compromise before adjourning.

The total package for Minnesota is $847 million in federal aid to the counties, cities, and townships.

On Monday, Roseau County Coordinator Jeff Pelowski remarked that it won't be free money to spend accordingly.

Certain stipulations must be followed, the money must be accounted for, and every amount spent must be COVID related.
