The Declaration of Independence, the celebration of which is what makes the 4th of July special, or ought to. The thought came to me that the original Declaration of Independence as a drafted statement about Social, well, actually government-control distancing from England. It was the beginning of America becoming America for EVERYONE with "liberty and justice for all." Sadly enough it hasn't worked out that way for everyone. Sadder still is the way some people are dealing with it.

What a tragedy that we come into the 4th of July with continued rioting, looting and burning and partial city...
