Rule number one: You cannot sit on your money!

On Monday afternoon, the Roseau City Council approved purchase agreements for two plots of land - the Bergland property south of Oakcrest Golf Course and a parcel of land on the north end of Roseau owned by Richard Larson.

And the price tag?

"They were about $4,000 an acre," said Mayor Jeff Pelowski, adding that the Larson purchase agreement included approximately 22 acres while the Bergland purchase agreement was for approximately 28 acres.

Those two parcels will cost the City of Roseau an estimated $200,000.
