It's the special ones who touch us, and Brandon Johnson was damn special.

What a character!

He came at life with spunk and made us smile and high five and feel good.

He was a touch of class.

This is no homily.

I'm not up to it.

I wish I could have one more lunch break with him at the City Shop or share a beer with him over at Ollie's Place.

Did I know him well?

Not long enough.

I only know that I wish I could have known him longer.

Everyone does.

He was personable, charming, caring, and cool.

God, he was a treasure.

This is a small town, and many of us knew him and know how he died at age 28....
