Paula Mutnansky, 52, a former Roseau area resident who grew up on a Goodridge farm, got properly introduced to marksmanship when she was a mere child of 8-years-old.

"Uncle Jerome taught me how to shoot his .22, and I used a wooden fence post for a rest and got the pop bottle on my first try," she said.

But she didn't really become a serious hunter until her thirties.

Anything you haven't hunted?

"Alligator and elk," she said. "I put in for an elk tag, but I haven't got one yet."

Mutnansky has an unusual hunting history.

"Actually, I started hunting with my then husband, Todd....
