How did we get to this deplorable situation where our politicians can't sit down together, have a few stiff drinks, work out some deals for the good of all of us, and laugh about the stupidity in this country?

It's like a good portion of us - not me, of course - were dropped on our heads at birth.

We are a country with too many of us who don't believe in science, common sense, and fairness.
