Agriculture forms the backbone of our economy. It is a critical concern for everyone living in northwest Minnesota. That is why it is so refreshing to have a farmer stepping up to serve in the state legislature. John Burkel has been farming his entire life. He is a 4th generation turkey farmer who has served on many agricultural related boards including a stint as the chairman of the National Turkey Federation.
