I’ve heard that there are those who want to see the phrase, “under God,” removed from our Pledge of Allegiance: and they’d like the Supreme Court to help. I stand against this!

Now I realize that repeating something often enough can dull the meaning. This can happen with church liturgy; even the Lord’s Prayer. But what was the original intention of making the Lord’s Prayer a part of our worship? Where did it come from, and what was its intention for us? We might ask the same questions about our Pledge of Allegiance including the phrase, “One nation under God.”
