On Wednesday morning, Roseau County Auditor-Recorder Martie Monsrud could only marvel about the voter turnout of at least 91 percent in the 2020 General Election.

She might even have said, "Wow!"

"I received one report that Waseca County was higher with 92.96 percent," she said, mentioning that they had wrapped things up at the Auditor's Office at 1 a.m.

She recalled that the next highest year was in the 2016 General Election when the turnout was 82 percent.

She chuckled when told she could either credit or blame Trump for the extra work.
