Canvassing Board Puts the Final Stamp on Election

Last Friday, November 13, the Roseau County Canvassing Board required just over a half hour to finalize the results of the election.
County Auditor-Recorder Martie Monsrud declared it a smooth wrap up.
"The canvassing went very well, and there weren't any issues with any votes that were cast," she said, adding that a total of 8,461 people had voted.
She noted that a few ballots had been rejected.
However, she noted, it wasn't anything that they canvassed.
"At 7 o'clock on Election Day, we had 9,261 registered voters," she said, adding that there had been 545 new registrations on Election...
