Frederic Edgar de Molée was born to Edgar and Eleanor (Nelson) de Molée in Crookston on April 9th, 1955. He was raised on the family farm just southwest of Warroad. There he fell in love with the rural life taking care of the livestock and poultry. He immersed himself in the 4-H program garnering many awards at the Roseau County Fair. He graduated from Warroad High School in 1973. Following graduation, he attended the University of Minnesota Duluth.
