Roughlock Falls, deer and Elk

We decided to take a break from our normal sightseeing/exploring to experience Roughlock Falls, a breathtaking multi-tiered waterfall along Little Spearfish Canyon.

You may think chasing waterfalls is a summer-only activity, but think again! Autumn brought amazing colors to Spearfish Canyon and offered picture-perfect scenery. I would think even in the winter, the waterfalls would come to life as the mist from the falls builds upon the surrounding rocks and trees creating an almost fantasy-like setting. It might be a bit cold for me but for those who like the cold it would be a fun adventure....
