The land of stone and light. These striking geologic deposits contain one of the world's richest fossil beds. Ancient horses and rhinos once roamed here. The park's 244,000 acres protect an expanse of mixed-grass prairie where bison, bighorn sheep, prairie dogs, and black-footed ferrets live today.

The formations in Badlands National Park are the end-product of two simple processes: deposition and erosion. I would describe them as majestic and beautiful beyond words.

One of the world's most well-known tourist attractions is Wall Drug so we had to check it out.
