Minnesota State Statute Requires Removing Campaign Signs

On Tuesday, Roseau City Attorney Michelle Moren related that during the Monday City Council there had been comments about the still present campaign banners and signs.

"I told Chief Anderson that under the law, yes, they have to be taken down within 10 days. So, to the extent that people haven't, I think Chief is going to be talking to those residents," she said, adding that is all she knows about the campaign posters and banners still on display.

"It is a state statute," she said about removing campaign signs from public display within 10 days of an election.
