Gordon Laverne Hetteen, 94

Kenmore, Wash.- Gordon Laverne Hetteen, 94, of Kenmore, Wash., passed away on December 12, 2020. He was born the first of five children to Oscar Hetteen and Ellen (Sissy) Nelson Hetteen of Malung and Roseau. Gordie, as he was known, was born in Malung on August 20, 1926 and lived in the Roseau area until his early 20's. Gordie died of natural causes due to Parkinson's disease. In 1944, at age 18, he entered the US Navy and served aboard an aircraft carrier until the end of WW2. Around 1948 he met Elsie O. Anderson of Roseau, who would become his wife a few years later.
