Next weekend, Christian churches around this area will hear the words, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten son…”.  Contrary to Pastor Joe’s appalling rhetoric, John 3:16 does not say, “For God so loved America”.  God may have shed His grace on America, but I would be hard pressed to believe He is pleased with a country that has been cruel to people of color, marginalized women and has raped and polluted a land all in the name of greed.
