IT WAS A VERY GOOD YEAR

Have you ever checked out the year you were born? I was born in a good year, 1947. Receiving a booklet about that year, I opened it. Of course September 27th would have been at the end of that year, but it is interesting anyways. The booklet was given to me from my daughter Londa and was called My Special Year 1947. "Pages of Time - a Nostalgia News Report".

The first page said "U.S. Gives up China Peace Effort". The U.N. partitioned Palestine into two sections, Britain granted independence to India and Pakistan, and The Voice of America began broadcasting to Soviet-dominated areas.
