Wayne Knutson was born June 3, 1948 in Roseau to Clarence and Jessie (Hall) Knutson. He grew up in Roseau, graduating from Roseau High School in 1966. After graduation he attended the Thief River Falls Technical College for two years, and received a degree as an auto body technician.
