Carol's and Holter's Greenhouses are a must!
May 8, 2021
My partner in crime aka Sarah and I made it to the greenhouses this past weekend. They were amazeballs!
We made a day of it and had a lot of fun. We spent a couple dollars too!
Carol's Cedar Cellar and Greenhouse had a lot of our favorites. Carol has definitely been busy getting her greenhouse ready for all of us gardeners. It was a beautiful sight after winter!
Holter's Greenhouse is a little drive out of town but so worth it. They had a lot of flowers and vegetables too. The aroma is amazing from all the fresh plants!
Both greenhouses are a must stop. You won't be disappointed! They were both soooo much fun and had great customer service! We will be back!
Friendship Casserole
Ingredients
2 lbs ground beef
48 oz jar pasta sauce
2-3 tbsp minced garlic
16 oz pkg egg noodles
1/2 cup butter
Minced Onion
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
12 oz shredded mozzarella cheese
Directions
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
In a frying pan brown your ground beef.
Start a pot of water to boil and cook the egg noodles.
Strain the ground meat and egg noodles when they are done.
Place the browned hamburger back into the frying pan and allow the meat to simmer with the pasta sauce and seasonings.
Put egg noodles in a bowl and mix with butter and parm cheese until the butter is melted.
Spread half the sauce mixture over the bottom of a 9x13 pan, so 1/4 of the sauce is covering the bottom of of the pan.
Put buttered egg noodles over the sauce mixture.
Spread the remaining sauce over noodles.
Top with mozzarella cheese; if freezing it, skip topping with cheese.
If cooking right away, cover the pan with foil and place in the oven to bake for 10 minutes.
If freezing, allow the casserole to be fully thawed before baking and then top with cheese.
