When I'm in my room

I remember who I am

And finally, I'm whole.

I lay in my bed

Contemplating my actions

And all their effects.

I look at my wall

And see something beautiful

The sketch of a rose.

A colorless prize

That encases my heartbeats

This rose created me

I am not a man

But a rose petal unchained

Free of all burdens

This rose gave me life

But I am a mere petal

Merely one of many

Then as I wilted

Everything has clarity

Time's not always free

I am the brightest

Petal falling from this rose

With all the others

One day it happened
