Consider it Ecology Fishing 101 for Mr. Leif Eidsmoe's Roseau High School Biology 1 students.

These sophomores could have been stuck in a classroom a week ago Wednesday on the second to the last day of school.

But Mr. Eidsmoe was having nothing to do with that.

He took them fishing.

Nicely, the Roseau River is just a few blocks away. His four Bio I classes didn't protest and demand to stay in the classroom.

"Some fished, some magnet fished, some just sat out in the sun and a few of the 7th hour girls went swimming," he said, adding that the water was warm enough.
