I've never had a problem with good, old-fashioned larceny.
I like Jimmy Swaggart.
Decades ago, he could swoon the loose change right out of your pocket for the greater glory of God and Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, who occasionally sinned with prostitutes - eventually getting caught.
By the cops in some cheap motel.
Then, Jimmy immediately produced tears for Jesus.
Religion and politics - what a scam at times!
You have to be old enough to remember Jimmy Stewart in "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington."
He was an idealistic U.S. Senator, not some political hack on the take.
Whatever has happened to serving...
