Roseau County 4-H Performing Arts and Fashion Revue Showcases

 


The morning of Tuesday, June 29 began with 16 Roseau County 4-H members from throughout the county sharing their amazing talents for the judges and audience at the First United Lutheran Church of Roseau. The morning included soloists, melodica duet, pianists, violinists, a history lesson and solo banjo player, harmonica player, trumpet solo, and Penny Whistle player. The 4-H members participating included youth from Cloverbud (K-2), Beginner (3-5), Intermediate (6-8) and Advanced (9+). Each and every one did a fantastic job! Please come out to the Roseau County Fair Mini-stage on Friday, July 23 from 3:00- 4:00 p.m. to hear the AWESOME talent of Roseau County 4-H Performing Arts participants. The final award winners for 4-H Performing Arts Contest included Beginners Grand Champion - Anna Mooney from Green Acres Club (violin) and Reserve Champion - Aiden Mooney from Green Acres Club (Harmonica). Intermediate Grand Champion - Henry Harren, North Star Club (Banjo) and Reserve Champion - Aidan Carpenter from Badger Pacers Club (Trumpet). Advanced Grand Champion - Erin Ericksen from Gopher Club (Piano) and Reserve Champion - Erin and Wesley Ericksen from Gopher Club (Melodica Duet).

On the afternoon and evening of Tuesday, June 29, Roseau County 4-H members participated in the 4-H Fashion Revue judging event held at the Roseau City Center. The afternoon included the judging of 23 outfits both constructed and purchased by Roseau County 4-H members. The evening showcased youth modeling their outfits for the public and learning who would be crowned the winners.

The Beginner Constructed Princess was Anna Mooney of Green Acres club in her Red Dress and 1st Attendant was Faustina Henry of Green Acres club in her Green Skirt. The Beginners Purchased Princess was Svea Anderson of Cool Clover Kids Club in her Denim Jumpsuit with Cream Sweater, 1st Attendant was Faustina Henry of Green Acres club in her Turquoise Overall Shorts with White Shirt and 2nd Attendant was Anna Mooney of Green Acres club in her Polka Dot Top and Jean Capris.

The Intermediate Constructed Queen was Hallee Magnusson of Dieter Doers Club in her Skirt and Shirt, 1st Attendant was Kaia Omdahl of Dieter Doers Club in her Linen Pants and 2nd Attendant was Madelyn Magnusson of Dieter Doers Club in her White Shorts and Blue Top. The intermediate Purchased Queen was Katy Comstock of North Star Club in her Navy skirt and white blouse, 1st Attendant was Kaia Omdahl from Dieter Doers club in her Black and floral Romper, and 2nd Attendant was Mia Neville from Cool Clover Kids Club in her Maroon Formal dress. Congratulations to all!
