County Board tables motion on added sales tax

At Tuesday's public hearing of whether to pass the Local Option Sales Tax (LOST), which would increase the local tax on taxable items by one half percent, there was a sparse turnout.

Curt Hauger of Badger was present while Russ Anderson of Greenbush appeared by Zoom.

Their contention was that it would be a disadvantage to local businesses because they would have to compete with surrounding counties that haven't adopted this tax.
