Roseau's Top Guy Is Ready for School to Begin

Mr. Joe Broderick laughs easily.

If you remember the old days, say a half century or more ago, the school principal was the last one you ever wanted to see.

It meant you were in trouble.

Mr. Broderick doesn't even own a pair of brass knuckles or keep a sawed-off canoe paddle in his office.

This past summer, he was appointed the new Roseau High School principal.

He could have already departed for the Twin Cities and gone back into private business, which he had done for several years before coming to Roseau last summer.
