On A Memorable Hunt for Big Bear

At 28, Zach Johnson won't likely forget a week ago Thursday when he was sitting in his ladder stand in the rain.

Nothing beats success.

"It's my second bear. My stepdad, Ken Miller, helped me get one when I was 12. I guess he's my ex-stepdad now," he said, adding that Ken is a really good guy.

"He got me into archery hunting."

You shot that bear with a bow when you were 12?

"That one I shot with a slug gun. This one I shot with a recurve. It's only a 45-pound bow. This time I wanted a little challenge, and it ended up being just that," he said last Friday.
