Two People Injured After Accident Last Friday

Both drivers were taken to a hospital after a two-vehicle accident Friday Sept. 24 in rural Roseau County.

Lisa Marie Norman, 25, Roseau, and Joshua Cortez Wilson, 23, Pattison, Miss., were transported to LifeCare Medical Center in Roseau, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Wilson suffered a non-life threatening injury. The extent of Wilson’s injuries was unclear.

At the time of the accident Wilson was driving a 2011 Ford Mustang eastbound in the westbound lane of Highway 11. East of Roseau County Road 9 in Enstrom Township, his car collided with Norman’s westbound 2017 Ford Edge. Wilson’s car then came to a rest in a ditch on the north side of the highway. Alcohol was detected on Wilson. It was unknown if he was wearing a seat belt. Norman was wearing a seat belt.

Thew State Patrol was dispatched to the scene at 8:42 p.m. Friday. The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office, Roseau Fire Department and Roseau EMS also responded.
