Steve Porter and his Trophy Whitetail display were recently at Ace Hardware in Roseau. Matt Berger, owner/manager, has brought Steve Porter and his Trophy Whitetail display to Ace Hardware for the past five years.

"It's a great event and fun seeing the kids so excited to see the deer. It's a fun event for all ages," said Berger.

Porter, a former Kittson County Sheriff for over 30 years, got into the deer business in 1992 as a way to make his land, which he says isn't suitable for agriculture, financially viable.
