Roseau County Sheriff Steve Gust isn't looking for any stick-up artists, swindlers, check bouncers, or carjackers.

In fact, in a way, he's in the hot seat with the Minnesota Department of Corrections.

"We're short on manpower at the jail," he said last week, admitting that they're running their detention center with one less jailer than is required by state law.
