Jane Evans, who has served on the Roseau City Council since 2015 when she was appointed to fill the vacancy of Curt Ireland, has tendered her resignation, effective December 31, 2021.

"I had three years yet to go," she said on Tuesday morning, adding that she wouldn't have run in 2020 if her name hadn't been on the ballot.

"When Sam passed away, I said I would give it a year to continue all of the stuff I'm a part of, plus all of the stuff that Sam did."
