When Dryden Thompson was given the opportunity to take a lineman position with Xcel Energy in Grand Forks, he jumped at the chance. Dryden's girlfriend of eight years, Grace Pederson, is employed in Fargo, and he would be much closer to her than with his current job as lineman with Otter Tail Power in Hallock.
