Roseau- Gordon Leroy Olafson passed away peacefully on January 4, 2022, at his home with family members by his side at the age of 85.

Gordon was born in Roseau on June 28, 1936, to Olaf and Erma (Karlson) Olafson. He was the fifth of six children. Gordon grew up on the family farm where he worked in the fields and barn beside his siblings and parents. He went to country school and then Roseau School. On April 2, 1960, Gordon married Martha Larsen. That same year they purchased the family farm and he began his family with Martha and they had five children: Wayne, Mark, Scott, Joni and Nathan.
