Tacoma, Wash.- Hazel Larson Nute died on January 4, 2022 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington. She was born on March 8, 1936 to Herbert and Lillian Larson. Hazel spent her childhood years in rural Wannaska.

After graduating from RHS in 1954, she worked at the Security State Bank in Warroad, prior to moving to the State of Washington where she met and married John Norman Nute in 1956. They had three children; Denice (Guy) Mcalister, John Nute, Jr., and DeAnne (Rich) Ayala.
