Merilee Beth (Erickson) Stuthard, 86

Wasilla, Alaska- Merilee Beth (Erickson) Stuthard was born in Roseau County, on Oct. 22, 1935, to Roy and Elsie (Brandt) Erickson. She peacefully passed away on Jan. 23, 2022, in Wasilla, Alaska.

Merilee (Mya) attended grade school in rural schools and Roseau Public School. She graduated from Roseau High School in 1953 and from Thief River Falls Teachers' Training in 1954. She taught one year at Salol School. In 1957, she went West with her cousin, Arlys Brandt. She met Scottie Forbes and they were married on Jan. 1, 1960. They lived in Alaska, then in Alpena, Mich., where he passed away. Mya...
